Guest Artist at Abrya Studio
Saturday, May 24- July 24, The Art Colony, 185 N. Main St, Eureka Springs, AR
I am taking my big-eyed girls for a face off with Jerri Stevens' elegant, high fashion babes at Abrya Studio. Jerri also operates an independent fine art studio in Eureka Springs, works in acrylic and has an engaging graphic design sensibility. That is the end of the similarities. Come see what happens when two very different artists set out with a canvas, a brush, some acrylic paints, and a bag of Cheetos.
Abrya Studio is located in the funky and fabulous Art Colony at 185 N. Main St (next to Cafe Santa Fe) and offers its guests plenty of free parking at the rear. The Art Colony opens at 11:00 am. The artist reception at Abrya Studio is from 4:00-8:00 pm, Saturday, May 24th. Hors d'oeuvres and refreshments will be served, but don't worry, we're just kidding about the Cheetos.

Wednesday, September 10, Little Rock, AR
First Lady of Arkansas, Ginger Beebe, hosts a reception for the artists who have work in the 2009 Arkansas Artists Engagement Calendar. The calendar is a project of the Governor's Mansion Association and will be unveiled at this event. Eureka Springs Artists Studio Tour
Friday and Saturday, September 26-27, 10:00- 6:00, and Sunday, September 28, 10:00-4:00 Eureka Springs, AR
This will be my second year participating in the Studio Tour and I love it! There is only one problem. I can't go on it myself! It seems like a treasure hunt to me. You pick up a booklet about the artists and follow the maps to studios filled with life-affirming treasures. Maybe I'll make it a point to visit some of the artists' studios myself before the tour and blog about them. I'll be sure to get a link up to the map when it comes out and let you know where to pick up your booklet. Please come see me and and my most recent work, enjoy a look around the studio and a rest on the patio. Of course, I show my work and studio year round by appointment, but these days are extra festive here and all around town.
