Fairy Poop! or Last step for the Art Colony Art Car

Jerri gingerly adheres fairy poop to strategic locations. Note the headlines on the paper being used to protect the lower portion of the vehicle. Have you ever noticed that a car becomes a vehicle whenever it enters into a situation where the law may be required?

Now that all the fairy poop is in place, let’s [...]

table week 2 and new house project

It’s getting better all the time…
That is probably also true of the situation with the house, although on days like today it can be tough to remember. A little digging revealed a leak far more serious than anticipated. A trench is being dug by a friend and I am pulling up the floor of the [...]

Art Colony Art Car

I had the privilege of going over to the Art Colony and helping out with the quick spray down a couple of days before the parade. The car belongs to “Colonist” Antler Dan and is adorned with symbols which are common to his work, eagles and goddesses. Funny, the men were working on the [...]

art and life

Life is a great big canvas and you should throw all the paint on it you can.

the 6th girl is finished

Lots of titles in my mind for this one, but I keep coming back to a heady bouf. I think I must have taken that from Jitterbug Perfume, which would make sense since it is that heady book which inspired this painting.

Holiday Sale and Party

I finished the postcards/fliers for my Holiday Sale and Party on Friday, December 14th. Tomorrow I am going to put some colorful lights on the outside of the studio. hybrid children-what!?

Happiness, 30″ x 40″
A woman came into my booth at the Eureka Springs Fall Art show looking at my paintings of the girls with big eyes. She said something to me about them looking like hybrid children and asked me something like whether I had painted them of hybrid children or if they just [...]

dance in the rain

All done!
Now I’m working on getting good photos, preparing a mailing about the Fall Art Show, and composing a new painting. More about the Fall Art Fair to come….

“coming apart” mixed media piece featured in Moondance ezine

Moondance: Celebrating Creative Women is a quarterly online magazine published by Women Artists and Writers International. This edition’s theme is Identify. The editor puts it to us this way: “Learning to sacrifice what is superficial for the essential. When we are open about our needs whether filled or unfulfilled we are able to achieve internal [...]

the painted bench

We had the bench unveiling and artist introductions just before the Artrageous Parade. It was fun to talk about my bench and I am happy to have created something bold, playful, and organic. I think that might have been the first time I held a microphone and did not sing karaoke! The [...]

a twinkle in your eye painting

Springtime in Eureka Springs is lively and colorful and the May Festival of the Arts really puts it over the top. The month is packed with music in the park, an art car ball and parade, the White Street Studio Walk, the Artrageous Parade, weekly gallery strolls, and countless openings. This is the entry [...]
