When looking to help direct people to your website or blog it is important to be sure to include the sorts of words a person seeking you out would use in a search. For my website and blog, relevant keywords include, art, painting, painter, artist, fine art, still life, Eureka Springs. You get the picture. I thought I was doing a pretty good job of using enough of these words, but I recently found that there are many unexpected searches that lead folks to land on my blog. Some of the searches that brought visitors my way are like little poems so I though I’d share a few with you.
” If I just little bug, my house in giant and big flower” (This one is by far my favorite)
“leave” “she does not reply” “woman tips”
“velvet touch paint job work”
“girls night out painting canvas studio”
“girls have big eyes”
I wonder if I can enhance the way I use language on this site so that it is easily located by people looking for still life paintings and prints, anime inspired paintings of big-eyed girls, or fine art by artists in Eureka Springs, AR? And then I think that while I would like the blog to drive some very targeted traffic to my website, it’s usefulness to me most likely lies in the practice of keeping it. It is a great way to reflect on the amazingly generous, relaxed, and creative place where I live, to celebrate the beauty around me, and to share some of the things I learn. And what I’ve learned so far is that the key to the successful completion of any project is to give one’s self over entirely to the project at hand while maintaining a vision of and belief in the desired result. Put more simply, relax.
