Anna Horton at the Delhi on the Deck

Anna Horton sings jazz standards

I had a too long trip out of town. I’m back and realizing that while I enjoy the intimacy and friendliness of life in this small town, I also enjoy some amazing luxuries that are hard to come by in other rural areas-like the high speed internet connection and great entertainment and arts. I had fun listening to Anna Horton a couple weeks ago and snapping some photos of her. Now that I, and my computer which was at the dr for a spell, are back online, I had a little fun with one of her photos and pulled up this draft to post. I’ll get caught up on the trip photos and the class photos and share those later in the week.

Anna Horton was playing at the Delhi on the Deck last week and our Queen Piggie had a table reserved for her and her car artist piggies and families . It was good to be a piglet that rare day! We walked down N. Main and as we approached we could hear a mellow guitar and Anna’s sweet voice. As soon as we entered, I was surprised and happy to see Bill’s Momma and Dad in from India. It’s great they will be spending the summer with us here in Eureka Springs again. We found our way to the special table on the patio and settled in a for a bit to the fresh girl singer from up the road singing jazz standards that were quickly being filed into Carol’s karaoke ideas corner. (She would perform The Lady Is A Tramp a couple nights later at Henri’s, just before jetting back to San Francisco.) We also had some yummy samosas, catrfish, fries, ciders, sodas, and fruits. You can see how easy it is to get cozy at the Delhi…here’s a shot of the stage.
