Yesterday a pipe came apart and required some hasty action. This picture shows the trench being dug outside and the demo of the sunroom floor on day one of the sudden onset remodeling. The floor was rotted out at the front from years of leaking and a poorly planned raised flower bed that sloped to the house. Let bygones be bygones. NOW, the situation is improving. Today the digging and demo of the floor was completed, the new supply line and hose were put in, and we even got the shingles and casings removed to make way for the new door and closing the old one. Here is a photo of the room as it appeared at the end of the workday today.

You can probably tell that it is quite an adventure to get into the house now. Life is all around more entertaining this way. Dinner is eaten out or removed from the freezer and popped in the oven, containers seldom make it to the kitchen, the table is piled high with tools and miscellanea and best of all the entertainment is cheap. We just hide around the corner when guests arrive and wait to see who rushes in without looking and finds themselves in the mud.
Just kidding about that, although I have had some seriously silly fun in spandex wrestling in a pool of mud while a guy in a gorilla suit rode a tricycle and two women named Julie/Julee twirled batons in vintage swimsuits. And best of all, as trashy as that sounds, it was with my intellectual friends from that horrid PhD thing I did for a while.
