Fun art show scheduled for this Saturday, which is going to be another perfect day in Eureka Springs- Art shows all over town, the art car parade cruisin’ by, music, bubbles, madness, and mayhem…Here is the press release for my showing of the girls of wonder paintings at Jerri’s studio. I hope you get out and enjoy the May Festival of the Arts and come say hi to me and Jerri.
Abrya Studio is bracing for a collision of portrait styles this Saturday. Studio owner and artist Jerri Stevens runs damage control as Kathryn Semolic’s fresh and bold Girls of Wonder enter the stare down of the century with Steven’s alluring and elegant high fashion babes. Stevens and Semolic operate independent fine art studios in Eureka Springs. Both work in acrylic and have an engaging graphic design sensibility. That is the end of the similarities. Come see what happens when two very different artists set out with a canvas, a brush, some acrylic paints, and a bag of Cheetos.
Abrya Studio is located in the funky and fabulous Art Colony at 185 N. Main St (next to Cafe Santa Fe) and offers its guests plenty of free parking at the rear. The Art Colony opens at 11:00 am. The artist reception at Abrya Studio is from 4:00-8:00 pm, Saturday, May 24th. Hors d’oeuvres and refreshments will be served, but don’t worry, we’re just kidding about the Cheetos.
