18th Annual White Street Art Walk is Tomorrow

Studio 36 White Street-painter Jerri Stevens' casa in town

From 4-10 pm tomorrow, May 16, 2008, this little house is the place to be! Painter Jerri Stevens has invited me and a bunch of other artists to show and sell their work for the White Street Art Walk. The entire street and most of the homes/studios along it will be packed with locals and visitors in search of their next art acquisition and creating a lively and friendly atmosphere. Stopping in at Jerri’s place, Studio 36 White Street, is sure to be one of the highlights of the evening. We will have a caterer to care for our guests and aside from the astoundingly brilliant paintings that Jerri and I create, you can also find Fran Carlin and her exquisite mosaics, Robert Beauford jeweler and meteorite geek, Wendi La Fey painter of perfect portraits, Sonny Carpenter and his sculpture, Lynn Lundy and her intriguing mixed media creations. Jack Miller is represented by a sampling of his erotic sketches which do double duty as greeting cards. There will be other artists in the house and set up on the lawn and although I don’t recall everyone, I have heard a rumor that a woman who makes jewelry out of hairballs will be joining us! Another highlight is that Jerri’s sister Carol is flying in today from San Francisco to join us and share some of her new color photographs of trolleys and other San Fran treats. I’m busy gathering items for the set-up now. I’ll do my best to get some shots of the event to share with all unfortunates who miss the big day.
