the art studio has a new door

I’ve been away from this project for quite some time because of too much pain in the hands, arms and neck. There is still a lot to be done and I am so grateful for the help of good friends. I have yet to complete the wiring, but now that the new door is in place and the building inspector has answered my questions, the only obstacle I face is the deadness and pain in the hands. I’ll work in short spurts today and hope to be ready for my rough-in inspection soon. I’m super pleased with the new door. It was quite a challenge to make the mismatched doors fit together, but it also made the project fun and exciting. My friend is a great problem solver and gets a little twinkle in his eye when unexpected things pop up, so he is quite fun to work with. He also enjoys brainstorming fantastic ideas and keeps me from getting too extreme with the actual work we are doing. Nice combination. We have decided that instead of siding the gap to the left of the door, I will paint a plywood panel to be fitted in there. I wonder what I will do for this outdoor painting.
