Yesterday’s unveiling of the painted park benches was rained out, so we’re planning to have that event at 2pm Saturday before the Artrageous Parade rolls past Basin Park. Should it rain Saturday, we’ll do the unveiling and the Parade on Sunday. I really miss the sun, so I’m thinking sunny thoughts about how fabulous my new studio is going to be! This picture shows the garage now that everything has been cleared out. The windows will go in first, followed by the sliding doors. Then I will do the wiring and insulation. I’m still kicking around ideas for the floor and walls, but the ceiling will definitely be the beadbord look a like plywood that we put in one room of the house. It was easy and looks fantastic. See that that little concrete perimeter on which the walls are resting? I’m thinking I will leave it visible and build the walls flush with it and then stain all the concrete so I have a kind of funky built in baseboard. What do you think of that idea?

I think I love you. At least your work.
About your floors and walls, what if you continued the concrete stained floor up the back wall of your studio. If your interested, I will explain how to to do it with hardi backer board and surfacing cement.
Hi Jed,
Glad to hear you love my work. I checked out your site and it was nice, EXCEPT for the comment about painting being a sin! I don’t think a concrete wall is in order for this project, but I am considering it for the bathroom remodel! Any instructions will be welcomed. Kathryn
