Took a break from painting and working on the studio clearance sale to check in with 43Things and ponder all I have to be grateful for when I stumbled across this cute little quiz. I don’t usually do posts like this, but this had something to say about why I have become an artist. “…You are a demanding egocentric…do not like the feeling of loneliness and whatever it is that seems to separate you from others… know that life can be wonderful and you are anxious to experience life in all its aspects… resent any restriction or limitations that are being imposed on you and you insist on going it alone…You are your own person and you intend to stay that way and to get on in the world simply by your hard work and determination.” It was a short little quiz of picking little blocks of color and took maybe two minutes. You can take it also at www.paulgoldinresearch.com/cg/index.htm

Wow, I tried it out and it was remarkably accurate to my situation. A few excerpts:
“you need to overcome that feeling that you have been ‘hard done by’ and treated with a complete lack of consideration.”
“Everything seems to be going against you at this time. Try as you may you are meeting with considerable resistance at every turn. Nothing is going as you would plan.”
“You are pretending that the situation around you doesn’t matter, but the effort of trying to conceal your emotions and anxieties is resulting in untold stress.”
“You would like to be respected and valued for yourself and this can only be achieved from within a close and harmonious relationship.”
My blog reveals how absolutely accurate this is…
