press coverage of EurekaThyme show

I was fortunate to receive some great press coverage in advance of my show at Eureka Thyme this month. The Morning News in Rogers, AR gave me a fantastic color photo that stretched across four columns on the front of the arts page. I was thrilled! Two other papers printed large b/w photos with their announcements, and another three announced the event. Today I received a call from another paper for an interview for a feature story and we set it up for Wednesday. I asked if I could prepare anything and was told no, hmmm, I may need to think about what I have to say about my work, anyway.
The reception at EurekaThyme was Saturday and I enjoyed meeting some wonderful people who love and/or create art. It was also nice to see some friends who must have caught the announcement in one of the local papers. Of course, it was fantastic to sell some work and send it off to new homes. I had the funny experience of signing a print for a birthday gift and being teased about celebrity signatures. We laughed a lot, nibbled on some yummy cookies and enjoyed coffee, good music and pleasant company. The show will hang through November and I’m glad to be working on some new paintings for my next show , which will be the Eureka Springs Fall Art Fair right after Thanksgiving.
